  1. Open the downloaded fileIt unzips into a “woofpass” folder. Keep it somewhere it won't move, like Documents.
  2. In Chrome, open the extensions pagePaste this into the address bar: chrome://extensions
  3. Turn on “Developer mode”The switch at the top right of the page.
  4. Click “Load unpacked”Pick the “woofpass” folder. Woofpass opens Google Maps on a sample place, with its stamp.

Good to know

  • Chrome may remind you that a “developer mode” extension is on: that's normal for a beta.
  • Leave your email to get the one-click Chrome Web Store version:

  • Only on Google MapsNo other website is read or changed.
  • No trackingOnly the IDs of places on screen are sent, to find their stamp.
  • Nothing from Google is storedNo names, addresses, reviews or photos from listings.

And on your phone?

Chrome doesn't support extensions on mobile. So Woofpass installs as an app and hooks into the Google Maps Share button: share a place, the stamp shows up.
